PhD/RA Recruitment
I am currently seeking highly motivated PhD students, post-docs, research assistants, and summer interns for my research team. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in one of the following research areas:
- Remote Sensing and GIS Applications in Economics:
- Strong proficiency in processing and analyzing remote sensing data, experience with Python-based GIS techniques or Google Earth Engine
- Environmental and Agricultural Economic Analysis:
- Strong background in causal inference and reduced-form analysis, or experience with structural estimations and empirical IO
- Data Science in Economics:
- Strong foundation in mathematical modeling or deep learning, or experience implementing LLM techniques in economic applications
PhD/RA Recruitment Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields
- Excellence in academic writing and quantitative analysis
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Self-motivated research attitude
Studentship:
- PhD student: The monthly amount for a PGS is RMB¥15,000 (RMB¥180,000 each year in a 12-month basis).
- RA: The salary for the research assistant position will be contingent upon the training, research capabilities, and duration of the research assistantship.
While candidates trained in economics with strong analytical skills are preferred, students from related fields such as financial engineering, applied mathematics/computer science/environmental engineering with a passion for interdisciplinary research are also welcome to apply.
