PhD/RA Recruitment

I am currently seeking highly motivated postgraduate students (PhD), post-docs, research assistants, and summer interns to join my research team for the Fall 2024 term.

PhD/RA Recruitment Criteria:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree holders in relevant fields
• Proficiency in Stata/R, GIS/remote sensing, Python, mathematical modelling, and machine learning, or familaiarity with RCT/field experiments will be given priority.
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Self-driven and eager to learn

Studentship:

• PhD student: The monthly amount for a PGS is RMB¥15,000 (RMB¥180,000 each year in a 12-month basis).
• RA: The salary for the research assistant position will be contingent upon the training, research capabilities, and duration of the research assistantship.

While candidates trained in economics with strong analytical skills are preferred, students from related fields such as financial engineering, applied mathematics/computer science/environmental engineering with a passion for interdisciplinary research are also welcome to apply. Research Proposal Requirements:

• A clear research question
• Potential contributions to existing literature
• A plan for conducting the research
